  • What Does the Assessor Actually Do?

As I talk with voters across Larimer County, I hear the same question: What does the Assessor actually do? It’s a fair question.

The Assessor does not set your tax rates. Those are decided by voters and local governing boards. The Assessor’s job is to make sure property values are fair and accurate so everyone pays their proper share, no more, no less.

Think of it this way: the Assessor ensures the tax pie is sliced fairly.

    How It Works

Every property is evaluated through a simple, consistent process:

    • Discover: Identify all taxable property

    • List: Maintain accurate ownership records

    • Classify: Ensure correct property type (residential, commercial, etc.)

    • Value: Determine fair market value

    Why My Background Matters

As a business leader in financial services, I’ve built my career on data, accuracy, and accountability. I understand how these valuations impact your bottom line.

I will bring that same precision and transparency to the Assessor’s office, working alongside a strong team to get assessments right the first time.

That means fewer errors, fewer protests, and less cost and frustration for taxpayers.

    My Commitment

    An Assessor’s office should be:

    • Accessible to the public

    • Accurate in its work

    • Accountable to the people

That’s why I’m running, and how I will serve Larimer County.

    Partnerships with Community

If you have a community or HOA meeting coming up, we’d love the chance for Patrick to stop by for a few minutes.

As County Assessor candidate, Patrick wants to hear directly from homeowners about property values, assessments, and the issues impacting your neighborhood. These small community conversations are the best way for him to listen and answer questions.

If your group would be open to having Patrick attend an upcoming meeting, please send me a message. We’d appreciate the opportunity to connect!
